We are pleased to inform you that the Center for Education and Socialization (COD Jajce) has become the SALTO contact point for Erasmus+ programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our role is to support and inform everyone who is interested in Erasmus+ programs – from organizations and schools to individuals. If you want to participate in student exchange programs, organize projects or improve your skills through Erasmus+ programs, we are here to help you.
Through our support, young people and organizations will more easily access the programs offered by Erasmus+, expand their educational and professional opportunities, and connect with European organizations and young people across Europe.
What are SALTO Contact Points?
In order to make information about the Erasmus+ and ESC programs available to as many people as possible, SALTO resource centers establish contact points in different countries. Contact points are local organizations that provide citizens and institutions with all the necessary information about these programs and opportunities to get involved. Their role is to be a bridge between the local community and European programs, providing support, advice and information to those who want to participate in EU projects.
What are SALTO Resource Centers?
SALTO (Support, Advanced Learning and Training Opportunities) resource centers are European organizations that help implement the Erasmus+ and ESC programs. They are located all over Europe and specialize in different topics, such as volunteering, inclusion, and training. SALTO centers provide support and resources for organizations to make the most of the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and ESC, providing them with training, advice and support in project development.

What are Erasmus+ and the European Youth Solidarity Corps (ESC)?
Erasmus+ is the main European program for education, mobility and knowledge exchange. This program enables young people, students, teachers and youth workers to participate in educational and cultural projects throughout Europe. Erasmus+ opens doors for formal and informal education, volunteering, exchanges and internships, all with the aim of expanding horizons and creating new opportunities for young people.
The European Youth Solidarity Corps (ESC) is a program that focuses on volunteering and social projects. Through ESC, young people aged 18 to 30 have the opportunity to volunteer on projects that contribute to community development, either in the country or abroad. ESC enables young people to participate in projects of solidarity and common good, while developing their personal skills and discovering new cultures.
How does the European Union finance youth projects?
The European Union provides significant support to young people through various programs that enable learning, volunteering and gaining new experiences throughout Europe. This support comes in the form of funding projects that provide opportunities for education, volunteering and international cooperation. Organizations and institutions can submit their projects to competitions financed by the EU, which enables young people to participate in programs through which they can travel, volunteer, develop their skills and meet people from other countries and cultures.
