Do you want to spend a year abroad, learn German and gain work experience in an international environment? Friedenskreis Halle e.V., in cooperation with U.G. “Center for Education and Socialization” (COD Jajce) is looking for motivated young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina for a one-year volunteer service!

About the program: Your engagement is part of the “weltwärts” program, which is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The program is focused on global development policy, peace building, breaking prejudice and intercultural learning.

Basic information:

Duration: September 2026 – September 2027 (12 months).

Location: Halle (Saale), Germany.

Jobs: Work with children and youth, social work, cultural centers, ecology (Zoo), work in non-governmental organizations.

Application deadline: until 08.05.2026.

What does the program cover?

Monthly allowance and allowance for food

Accommodation (mainly in shared apartments with other volunteers).

Health insurance and accident insurance.

Paid German language course.

Support in obtaining a visa and covering visa costs.

Educational seminars (25 days during the year).

Who can apply?

Young people from 18 to 28 years old.

Finished high school.

Knowledge of English (B2)

Motivation to work in civil society and peace activism.
