Young people from Jajce learned about the importance and position of women through time at the feminist workshop in Banja Luka

As part of the project Strengthening the Capacity of Youth, which the Center for Education and Gatherinng is implementing with the Heinrich Boll Foundation, a workshop on Feminism – Meaning and History and a feminist tour of the city on the Vrbas was held last weekend in Banja Luka.

The workshop, led by Dragana Dardić, a representative of the Helsinki Citizens’ Parliament, in whose premises the workshop was held, was attended by 11 young people from Jajce. This was also an opportunity for young participants from Jajce to get acquainted with the work of the organization that has been working since 1996 on the promotion and protection of human rights in BiH and the empowerment of various marginalized groups for public and political action.

After an interesting workshop where they learned more about the fight for women’s rights throughout history, young people enjoyed a feminist tour of Banja Luka, getting to know the heroines who left an indelible mark not only on the Banja Luka region but on the entire former Yugoslavia.
