The play that first broke the pandemic lull of the cultural scene of the city of Jajce, “Gypsy Soul” was performed last Saturday in the premises of the AVNOJ museum. It is a play designed by the youth of the Youth Center Jajce, a section of the amateur theater CITADELA led by coordinator Amela Halaba.
The satirical-humorous play about the fate of two Roma through the prism of today’s reality, the difficult economic situation that leads to the vices of gambling, was accompanied by over seventy men and women from Jajce, as much as the capacity of the AVNOJ hall allowed, and respecting the prescribed distance due to the Covid 19 .
The young cast consisting of: Sadin Glamočić, Muhamed Mujić, Almir Buljubašić, Ajla Mađo, Ena Nešust, Almir Krak, most of whom this was the first public performance of this kind, gave their best and left their souls on the stage, and how much the team itself became closer and became one during the months of preparation of this play, those present could see after the end of the work when everyone with a song and a cake surprised their coordinator Amela Halaba with a birthday card.
This young team has proven that Jajce has a rich acting potential that the city must recognize and support, and as the capital of the Theater Games, it is their duty.
