On the occasion of their regular annual gathering of scholarship holders of the Jericho Foundation, a group of eighty students from Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Jajce today, a city of rich history and cultural heritage. The theme of this year’s gathering was dealing with the past with a focus on visiting monuments and places of suffering, but also on visits to organizations that contribute to reconciliation, coexistence and building bridges among young people. Special attention was paid to those organizations that provide support to new generations in creating a stable and perspective environment for growing up and living.
As part of this visit, the students had the opportunity to get to know the work of the Center for Education and Socialization (COD) Jajce, an organization that has been dedicated to empowering children and youth through educational and creative programs for twenty years. COD team representatives – Samir Agić, Aldin Melić and Helena Grgić – held a short presentation in which they shared their experiences, successes and challenges they face in working with young people, emphasizing the importance of their projects for strengthening intergenerational dialogue and creating an inclusive society.
