“United for a better future” is the name of the summer camp for children and youth in the period from 19 to 22 August 2021. The camp, organized by the Center for Education and Gathering (COD Jajce) with the support of the US Embassy in BiH, was attended by over 40 participants from Jajce and surrounding cities aged 12 to 15.
Children and young people who spent four intensive days of the camp had the opportunity to enjoy a diverse and rich program consisting of a series of sports activities, with the support of coach Ante Žunić – sports school, Ante Katić – karate club Kumite, Salih Keljalić – athletic club Vodopad, Edis Redžić – basketball club Vodopad and Asima Bošnjaka – volleyball club Time Out, as well as the support of professors Amela Kavazbašić and Josip Bogić – responsible for the fantastic workshop “Start a change” which left a positive and deep impression on children, and the support of Asima Agić – primary school teacher Bert Kucer and Jan Julardzija – aunt of the Ciciban playroom, who held excellent educational and creative workshops with messages of love and togetherness that can not leave anyone indifferent.
In addition to the mentioned workshops, the hosts of the PD Ćusine camp for young people organized workshops in nature where they had the opportunity to learn more about the Ćusine mountain itself, the mountain lodge, orientation and behavior in nature.
Young people also had the opportunity to enjoy an excellent adrenaline park located near the waterfall, a zip line for children, swimming, fashion shows and jumping where the most creative were awarded, and within the camp they had a tour of Jajce and its natural and cultural monuments, and a boat ride on Lake Pliva.
“By gathering children and youth of this camp, we wanted to point out that our ethnic and national diversity is not and should not be a stumbling block and separation, but a wealth that we need to nurture, respect, learn from each other and build a more promising future together. The children are unspoiled in each other and they see what they need to see – dear friends with whom they learn, train, play and love together “- said the manager of COD Jajce Samir Agić.
On this occasion, the Center for Education and Gathering would like to thank all the participants who were wonderful all four days of the camp, coaches of sports clubs, professors, teachers, associates of the Center for Education and Gathering and everyone who helped the camp to be realized in the best possible way.
