Within the project BiHUB Entrepreneurship Development Support Program – Support to Women’s and Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship, and within the cooperation between the Business Center and JU “Agency for Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of Jajce” and Slovenian NGO PiNA in the Business Center on Tuesday On September 21, 2021, the first meeting of the working group of advocacy activities for the inclusion of women in entrepreneurship was held.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the public and real sector as well as representatives of the Business Center, and the goal is to identify and agree on a set of measures within legal norms that would help and facilitate the inclusion of women in entrepreneurial waters in the future.
In recent decades, the imperative of economic and social development lies in the struggle for equality of women in relation to the number of employed men. In this way, gender inequality would be reduced, which would also lead to a reduction in unemployment and result in general economic growth. For this reason, the members of this working group decided to take important steps regarding the integration of women into entrepreneurship and public policy.
The program is implemented by the Public Institution “Agency for Cultural, Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourist Potentials of the City of Jajce” in cooperation with the Slovenian NGO PiNA and with the financial support of the International Cooperation Program of Slovenia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Business Center Jajce” is a project of the “Center for Education and Socializing – Jajce” created in 2016, which, in cooperation with the Municipality of Jajce, offers young people education and training of business ideas and skills and provides assistance in starting a small business.
