BIHUB III – Support and development of women’s green and sustainable entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Center for Education and Socialization (COD) Jajce is one of the partners in the project BIHUB III – Support and development of women’s green and sustainable entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be implemented from January 1, 2026 to September 30, 2028.

The project brings together partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia with the aim of strengthening female entrepreneurship and encouraging green and sustainable development in local communities. The leading partner of the project is the Cultural Educational Society PiNA from Slovenia, and along with COD Jajce, the Center for Youth Education Travnik, Linnovate Business Park Livno, REZ Zenica, Catapult Trbovlje and Incubator Savinjska Region Celje participate in the implementation.

Through four business incubators in Livno, Jajce, Travnik and Zenica, a total of 60 women will acquire new knowledge and skills through education and mentoring. The most promising business ideas will receive financial support for development, while selected startups will have the opportunity to participate in the accelerator program and further improve their business.

The project responds to the challenges faced by women in the labor market and in entrepreneurship, especially in less developed environments. Special focus is placed on unemployed women, women from rural areas, single mothers and other vulnerable categories, with the aim of their economic empowerment and more active involvement in the sustainable development of local communities. In addition to education and development of business ideas, the project will contribute to strengthening networks of female entrepreneurs, mutual support, exchange of experiences and cooperation between different sectors. Through participatory processes and advocacy activities, solutions will be developed that contribute to greater inclusion of women in entrepreneurship and green and sustainable development.

The BIHUB III project was co-financed through the Program of International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid of the Republic of Slovenia (MRS HP), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
