Be a volunteer in Weimar, Germany

If you are between 18 and 30 years old and want to do a voluntary service in foreign country, gain new experiences and knowledge and give some of your own, then this is the best opportunity for you!

The European Solidarity Corps offers the possibility of volunteering for a year in Weimar, Germany.

Your work will consist in working in the pedagogical department on national, international and European projects, such as:

• Work in the pedagogical department

• Project management

• Get to know and contributing to the “Educational Institution” system

• Work with young people in Germany and Europe

The ideal candidate will have a range of skills and abilities as listed below:

• Proven interest in non-formal education, experience in international work with young people, human rights, work with young people in general, etc.

• Commitment and experience in an international, intercultural, transcultural or European political context;

• Interest in working with media (PC, video, photography, music, etc.);

• Good computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and willingness to acquire additional skills and knowledge (Internet Content Management, data management);

• Social skills in working with EJBW target groups (e.g. empathetic behaviour towards participants events, sensitivity to group dynamics, etc.);

• Responsibility and awareness;

• Independence;

• Flexibility and availability for long-term projects (eager to invest your energy and time);

• Basic knowledge of German language and motivation to acquire the necessary working language skills in a language course.

The volunteer will receive all transport costs, visa, accommodation, food and a pocket money of €150 per month as well as constant support from the organisation during the work.
