Be a volunteer in the German city of Weimar

If you are between 18 and 30 years old and want to experience volunteering in another country, gain new experiences and knowledge, but also transfer your own experiences and knowledge, then this is the right call for you!

The European Solidarity Corps offers the possibility of volunteering for a year in the German city of Weimar.

It is about working in the pedagogical department on national, international and European projects, namely:

• Work in the pedagogical department

• Project management

• Getting to know and contributing to the “educational institution” system

• Work with young people in Germany and Europe An ideal candidate profile should consist of the following skills:

• Proven interest in non-formal education, experience in international work with young people, human rights, work with young people in general, etc. • Commitment and experience in an international, inter/transcultural or European political context;

• Interest in working with media (PC, video, photography, music, etc.);

• Good computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and interest / willingness to acquire additional skills knowledge (Internet Content Management, data management);

• Social skills in working with EJBW target groups (eg empathetic behavior towards participants events, sensitivity to group dynamics, etc.);

• Responsibility and awareness;

• Independence;

• Flexibility and readiness for long-term projects (eager to invest your energy and time);

• Basic knowledge of the German language and motivation to acquire the necessary working language skills in a language course.

The volunteer will have covered transportation costs, visas, a free apartment, food and pocket money of 150 euros per month, and constant support from the organization during work and decision-making.
