Following the two-day workshop held in Livno on 15 and 16 October, educational activities within the BIHUB III project continued in Jajce, where the workshop entitled “Green and Circular Business Models” was held in the Main Hall of the Municipality of Jajce.

The workshop brought together participants from Jajce and Livno and was led by Ram Dušić Hren from the Slovenian organisation Circular Change.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of the green and circular economy, the concept of circularity, and opportunities to improve existing business models by applying sustainability principles. Special emphasis was placed on developing green business models, including the presentation of the Green Business Model Canvas, a tool that helps participants design and adapt business ideas with a focus on environmental protection and the responsible use of resources.

Another topic addressed during the workshop was ESG assessment, which covers the environmental, social and governance aspects of business operations, namely how companies’ activities affect the environment and society, as well as how they manage their own operations.

Through practical examples, participants also discussed ways of integrating green principles into existing business ideas, particularly in terms of more efficient resource management, reducing waste and pollution, and using water more responsibly.

The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to expand their knowledge and explore practical tools that can support the development of more sustainable and competitive business ideas, while simultaneously creating a positive impact on the environment and the local community.

The activity was implemented as part of the BIHUB III project, which supports entrepreneurship development, capacity building, and the promotion of innovative and sustainable business solutions.
