Another Erasmus+ youth camp “Bridges for peace” in Klagenfurt (Austria) is behind us, where our young people had the opportunity to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year, the camp brought together young people from Austria, Iran, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia.
The theme of the meeting was to explore different religions and cultures and to uncover important social issues, but throughout the entire process, the young participants gained much more than just theoretical knowledge.

The program was filled with various activities: getting to know each other through interesting energizers, presenting religions, a cultural evening with music, food and dance; sports in free time, a separate time for reflection called “My Time”, a visit to a Slovenian high school and various religious communities in Klagenfurt, a flash mob on the Old Square, a talent evening and a “Rock4Angola” concert with the band LADJA and a solo performance by Matakustix.

Our young people proudly presented Bosnian cuisine, costumes and customs. The entire program was conducted in English, which was also a great opportunity for them to improve their foreign language.

The most valuable part of the exchange, however, was the connection and friendship among the young participants. They returned home full of memories and with a new understanding that building bridges for peace is possible despite differences and different perspectives.
