On the occasion of the Circular Economy Week, COD Jajce organized sets of educational and creative programs for young people and a fair for women entrepreneurs who already work or plan to enrich their business with the principles of the green economy.
Young people learned how to extend the life of textiles and bicycles
The workshop for young people brought together fifteen young people aged 15 to 18, who on this occasion went through an interesting workshop on the alteration and alteration of wardrobes and textiles, all with the aim of extending the life of textiles and clothing.

It is interesting that some participants encountered sewing items for the first time, but bravely mastered the skills of this ancient craft.
At the end of the workshop, we had new usable t-shirts, hats and handbags, and what’s more important, everyone was bursting with self-confidence armed with new knowledge and skills, and the workshop was led by the experienced Marina Hadžiavdić, president of KUD Jajce, who for many years, in addition to choreography, also takes care of making various costumes and equipment for KUD.

Repair and servicing of “two-wheeled pets” was the second workshop in a series where Samir Agić guided the youth through the basics of use and servicing, pointing out the importance of bicycle maintenance, checking before use, how to replace and patch tires, wheels, and brakes. The youth showed great interest and activity on this occasion, with boys and girls alike grabbing tools and changing tubes, tires, and assembling bicycles with great enthusiasm.
Fair and education for female entrepreneurs who “think” green
The Women Entrepreneurs Fair in the Cultural Center brought together women who presented their products based on the principles of the green economy, as well as those who wanted to learn more about this area and apply it in practice.

The fair was preceded by a workshop: “Circular Economy in Entrepreneurship – Advantages and Challenges”, which was moderated on this occasion by the young architect Amela Iskrić Hadžić, who from the very beginning of her career has included the principles of the green economy in her work, which has helped her and opened the door to new opportunities and business cooperation. On this occasion, Amela presented the basic principles of the circular economy to the entrepreneurs, positive practices, including her own, and the challenges that must be taken into account during this type of work, encouraging young women to be persistent and continue to develop businesses strengthened by these noble principles.

The Women Entrepreneurs Fair was an excellent opportunity to promote their work and present to the public their beautiful handicrafts, as well as the numerous service activities that could be found at the fair on this occasion, and to make new acquaintances, jobs, and new opportunities.

The fair was opened by the Mayor of Jajce Municipality Edin Hozan, who welcomed this initiative and emphasized the importance of supporting such events:

“I am pleased to see such a large number of creative and engaged women in entrepreneurship. I hope there will be even more such fairs in the future,” said the mayor.
