As part of the Circular Economy Week, which has been organized for the third year in the Western Balkans as part of the LogEx community activities, the Center for Education and Socialization (COD Jajce) organized a workshop for young entrepreneurs (startups) on May 28, 2024 on the topic: “Promoting awareness of the importance of green entrepreneurship” – Circular economy in entrepreneurship.
The workshop was moderated by the young architect Amela Iskrić Hadžić, owner of the “Vista design” studio, who “lives” the circular economy in her daily work, using mainly recycled materials in her work, but also materials that she herself recycles, renews and reuses during her work.

On this occasion, Amela pointed out to the participants of the workshop the importance of green entrepreneurship, its benefits, ways of introduction, and on this occasion she cited positive examples from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the world, which had an inspiring effect on young entrepreneurs.
Considering that each of them is engaged in a different business, this was an opportunity for them to exchange opinions and think about how they could improve their business while respecting the laws of the circular economy.

Also on the occasion of the Circular Economy Week, as in previous years, we cooperated with the “13.rujan” and “Berta Kučera” elementary schools, because we believe that it is the younger ones, the future leaders of society, and those who should be the first to be informed about the importance of preserving the natural environment and the principles of the circular economy.
The students of these two schools already recycled plastic bottles, textile material with us in previous years, gave the old chest of drawers a new purpose as a bin for separating waste, and this time they showed with their drawings that they see a world without waste.

Namely, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in the hall of these two schools, we organized an art competition: A world without waste / “It’s not a guy who litters. The children really tried to express their thoughts and visions about the circular economy in their own, creative way. All the children received Thank You Cards and packets of crayons, all in the spirit of the competition, and the best eight (the works were wonderful and we couldn’t decide on just the first three) received wonderful children’s books with dedication as well as drawing accessories.
On this occasion, we would like to thank the schools once again for their excellent cooperation and support.
