The Center for Education an Socializing received another valuable reinforcement in the volunteer team! Our new volunteer Stina comes from Germany through the Weltwärts program and will be part of the COD family for the next year.
Together with other COD volunteers, Stina will work with the children and young people of Jajce, supporting them in the development of creativity, knowledge and skills, and contributing to their empowerment through various activities and workshops. In addition to working with young people, he will be involved in the implementation of other COD projects, bringing freshness and new ideas to our community.
Meet Stina:
*”Hi, I’m Stina. I’m 19 years old and I come from Germany. My hobbies are swimming, reading, playing sports and cooking. My favorite food is menemen (Turkish dish – eggs in tomato sauce).
In Germany, I did an internship in a kindergarten and worked for several years in a swimming club, where I taught children aged 3 to 9 to swim. Both of these experiences led me to develop an interest in working with children and young people. After graduating from high school, I decided to volunteer for a year in a country that is different from mine, both in terms of culture and religion, and in terms of work environment.”*
Stina’s arrival represents another step in strengthening international cooperation and exchange of experiences, which COD is continuously working on.
