The Center for Education and Socialization (COD) Jajce, in cooperation with the German partner organization Friedenskreis Halle e.V., is organizing an Erasmus+ youth exchange called “The World – a Place for Everyone (?) : hatespeechfree”. The exchange will take place in Jajce and Sarajevo from October 15 to 23, 2025.
Why this topic?
We witness hate speech every day – on the Internet, in the media and in society. It creates division, discrimination and can lead to violence. Young people have the strength to oppose it: through empathy, dialogue, active citizenship and solidarity.
This exchange brings together young people from countries with different histories and experiences to learn from each other, challenge stereotypes and develop new ways of living together and peacefully.
What awaits you?
During the exchange, the participants will:
- investigate the causes and consequences of hate speech,
- develop the skills of critical thinking, digital literacy and teamwork
- discover the power of dialogue, empathy and active action in the community
- learn about European values, democracy and human rights
- develop methods of responding to hate speech and supporting victims
- visit Srebrenica and reflect on historical events
- to build a network of solidarity and friendship across borders
- create action plans to promote peace and inclusion in their communities
Who can participate?
If you are between 18 and 30 years old, speak English and are open to dialogue, empathy and new friendships – this is the opportunity for you!
Participants come from Germany, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
