Work on youth activism in COD

As part of the project “Strengthening the capacity of young people”, a workshop on “Youth Activism” was held yesterday at the COD. The workshop was led by Nestor Ruiz, a product design engineer and social work student, who has been working in the NGO sector for more than 20 years.

Through an interesting and interactive way, young people had the opportunity to learn more about youth activism, its importance and the way of direct influence on personal development as well as the development of their city and community. Being active means being part of a project that allows you to meet new people, travel, gain new knowledge (about sustainable development, human rights, gender equality, etc.), skills, communication, marketing, debate, management and many other skills crucial to forming a healthy person and active member of society.

Through the project “Strengthening the capacity of young people”, which we are implementing in cooperation with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Foundation, the next 5 months will participate in various workshops and seminars that will help them further develop their skills and positively affect changes in their local environment .
