On Saturday, September 25, in the premises of the Center for Education and Gathering, a cinema gathering with children and young people was held with a screening of the film “My Life as a Pumkin”. The hero of this animated adventure is a brave little boy named Pumpkin. When he loses his mother through a tragic set of events, young Pumpkin is left alone in the world. Sympathetic Officer Raymond takes him to a home full of children who have also been left without parents. At first intimidated by an unusual and sometimes cruel place, he eventually learns to open up and finds a new family and sincere love there.

With this film, which is adapted for children up to 15 years of age, our young participants learned about children’s rights, the importance of family, education and understanding and love, which is a very important factor in the healthy growth of children. With the moderation of practitioner Antonia Streckrodt, the children had a workshop after the screening of the film where they learned about themselves, their virtues, strengths, desires for the future and the support they can get from the environment and family to achieve their aspirations and goals.

In addition to Antonia, great support for the workshop was provided by our associates and volunteers Lamija Agić, Leona Bilić and Ajla Kurić, and the teacher of Berta Kučera Elementary School Asima Agić.
